Merdian

Here it is: the Babel text (k merdiqya!) with literal translations (sacrificing English grammar for Merdian) below them. Merdian has absolutely no exceptions (as of yet), making it very, very easy to learn. The structure is very simple, and makes no distinction between adverbs and adjectives.

1E: (And the lands-all had language-one, and speaking-in_one.)

2M:Y she mu, ovavu k kathï, y skruvavu reï divsad-ïsavu-Shinar, y blugyavug-mesharï.

2E: And so it was, (they) came from east, and (they) found land-named-Shinar; and (they) resided-there.

3M: Y hoïvavu b inqyeno, "Martava, mukava thimtlo, y khleïvava-yamï ba." Y maklavu thimtl m qyelsh, y ilkhado m elshlidto.

3E:And (they) said to (them)selves, "Let's go, (we) make brick, and burn-well them." And (they) had brick for stone, and slimes had they for mortars.

4M: Y hoïvavu, "Martava, mobahïvava vizhul y lïrzh, y r'ultageld-gin su b reï vagyoqyavh shrilvh; y moïsavava inqyeno, gyeb khalishevava v threï tergo-eteï."

4E: And (they) said, "Let's go, (we) will build city and tower, and the top-of_it shall to the shining-reaching; and we will name (our)selves, lest (we) scatter att the lands-all."

5M: Y r'eïtaud ïltu m zhivh k vizhul y lïrzh k threï temo k ïlo.

5E: And the Lord descended to see city and tower of the hands of people.

6M: Y r'eïtaud hoïvug, "Tja, thr'ïlo mu loth, y maklu bamod-lodï; y zhavauvavu zhar. Y hab zoth kovu ba altavh."

6E: And the Lord said, "Behold, the people are one, and they have language_one; and (they) begin this: and not none can them-stop."

7M: "Ïltavu, y khalishevavu reï bamod-bin, y she radavavu hoïvo-bin."

7E: "Let's descend, and scatter the language-of_theirs , so not (they) understand speaking-of_theirs."

8M: She r'eïtaud khalishevug ba v threï tergo-eteï, y khulgorvavug reï vizhul-bin.

8E: So the Lord scattered them at the lands-all, and (they) abandoned the city-of_theirs.

9M: She ïsavu Beïbel, m r'eïtaud khalishevu-vosharï reï bamod-bin, y khalishevu-vosharï ba v threï tergo-eteï.

9E: So (it) is called Babel, for the Lord scattered-there the language-of_theirs, and scattered-there them at the lands-all.
