Language Typefictional diachronic language
UniquenessDanarib is a language designed with a deliberate emphasis on euphony and alliteration. It uses prefixes to designate noun, pronoun and adjective declensions, while suffixes are used to conjugate verbs and adverbs. Words come from a basic root which can be modified to form any part of speech.
Language SourcesEsperanto, Hebrew, Quenya
Design PrinciplesBasic word order is VSO. Adjectives follow the noun modified and agree in case and number; adverbs follow verbs and are conjugated likewise. Prepositions actually function as postpositions. A basic word root such as jul ("hot") can be any part of speech. For example, conjugate it in the first person singular past and you have juli ("I was hot") with no copulative needed.
Interest Of OthersOnly my daughter, who at ten years of age has dabbled in conlanging herself.
