Language Sources	Nuirn began as a Swedish-German pidgin by Steve Gustafson and some fellow students at his high school who were studying German. The grammar was remade, mostly in the interest of unintelligibility to outsiders. A somewhat fanciful orthography was designed.
Design Principles	The vocabulary was originally constructed to harmonize roots found in Swedish, German, and English. The basic "rule" was to take English consonant shells, Swedish vowels, and inflect them with German grammar. The small basic vocabulary got this way was eked out with French, Latin, and other sources, and the grammar was reorganized. About 3,000 words have been coined (not online).
