Language Typepersonal language
UniquenessJamalinaşķ possesses a very efficient and logical agglutinative grammar structure, with a very large inventory of sounds. It is highly inflected, with 15 noun cases and 12 verb tenses. It has its own alphabet of 35 letters and numerous diacritics that enable it to be written very efficiently.
Language SourcesThe grammar was influenced primarily by Turkish and Finnish, and it has borrowed words extensively from European languages and Russian and Arabic. Russian influenced its basic sound structure, but it also borrowed sounds from Arabic and developed some of its own.
Design PrinciplesThe efficiency of an agglutinative structure mixed with elimination of the ambiguity that plagues many other agglutinative languages.
Interest Of OthersSome of my roommates are very interested with its structure, and I've taught them some basic phrases. Though they find it difficult to pronounce, due in large part to massive word-initial consonant clusters and uvular sounds.
