Language Typepersonal language
UniquenessBac was originally designed to be a language which did away with the polarities of many natural languages (all that I was familiar with at the time). The verb has no objects, and -- at least to begin with -- neither positive nor negative was implicit in any word. It is striking in forming single clauses with multiple main verbs and is thus highly idiomatic to an Indo-European language speaker.
Language SourcesScots Gaelic, Arabic, Chinese, Ancient Greek, Sanskrit.
Design PrinciplesLogical (if not simple) phonology. Multiple derivational rules with hyperproductive roots and very distant meanings being reached very rapidly (e.g., |selb| "red", |esb| "heart"). Unusual syntactic rules which nevertheless should produce sentences understandable with a small level of knowledge
