Interlinear Translation 1 | At-that-time, all planet had one language - speach common. |
Translation 2 | At-that-time that men moved east-towards, they-found land-strip Shinar-in and stayed there. |
Translation 3 | They said them-them, "Oi! We make bricks and cook completely them." They used brick stone-instead-of and tar mortar-instead-of. |
Translation 4 | At-that-time they said "Oi! We build city that has tower that reaches the sky-up-to in-order-that to-announce us-us the planet-to and not to-be-scattered surface-over whole planet-of. |

Translation 6 | Deities said "if one people-as who speak language common, they began to-do this, at-that-time not all that they-plan will-be-impossible they-for. |

Translation 8 | In-that-way deities scattered them there-from all planet-over, and men stopped building city. |

English Paraphrase 1 | Then, the whole planet had one language - a common speech |
Paraphrase 2 | As men moved eastwards, they found a strip of land in Shinar and stayed there. |
Paraphrase 3 | They said to themselves "Now! Lets make bricks and bake them well. They used brick as stone and tar as mortar. |
Paraphrase 4 | Then they said to themselves "Now! Lets build a city that has a tower that reaches to the sky to announce ourselves to the world, so we won't be scattered over the surface of the planet. |
Paraphrase 5 | But the deities descended to see the city and tower that the men were building. |
Paraphrase 6 | The deities said "If as one group who speak the same language they began to do this, then nothing they plan will be impossible for them. |
Paraphrase 7 | Now. Lets descend and confuse their language so that they cannot understand each other. |
Paraphrase 8 | In that way, the deities scattered them from there all over the planet, and the men stopped building the city. |
Paraphrase 9 | That is why it was called Babel - because there the deities confused the language of the whole planet. From there the deities scattered them over the surface of the whole planet. |
