Interlinear Translation 1and world all-over of-one-language of-one-tongue was/had
Translation 2to-the-east they-went people, in-Shinar plain they-found, here they-settled.
Translation 3and to-one-another they-said, "Hey! bricks let-us-craft, them fully let-us-cook." Bricks as stones, mud as binding they-used.
Translation 4and they-said, "Hey! let-us-build (pile up) for-ourselves a city and a to-the-heavens reaching tower, so-that our may-be-made-great name, lest we-are-spread on world all-over.
Translation 5then God he-came-down, and city and tower, of-men with-hands was-being-built, he-saw.
Translation 6said God, "wow! as-one-people with-one-language this they-have-done, of-thoughts/dreams of-men nothing impossible will-be."
Translation 7"Come, let-me-go-down and language their let-me-muddle, so-that they-understand one-another not.
Translation 8So God from-that-place on world all-over them he-dispersed, and they city they-built-up no-more.
Translation 9and so there Babel it-is-named, because there God of-the-world languages he-muddled, from-there on world all-over them he-spread.
