EditorialInspired by Lojban and Klingon, Yf Rgalin was developed to explore some features that were "amusing" to the author, while maintaining simplicity and regularity. It's a verb-first ergative language, with some attempt at Lojban-like regularity (but without quite so much rigor). There's some attempt to derive everything from verbs (except nouns). The phonology is slightly unusual; its sentence structure may be unique, as well as its verb structure (inspired by a feature in Basque).
UniquenessIts phonology is *slightly* unusual, but not very much so. Perhaps its sentence-structure is unique, and the verb usage.
Language SourcesA fair amount from Lojban and Klingon. Relative clauses from Lojban/Hebrew, subordinate clauses a little from Lojban, more from Klingon. Bits and pieces from elsewhere; verb-structure inspired by a feature in Basque. I'd guess in terms of overall rigor more Lojban than anything else.
Design PrinciplesMainly just exploring some amusing (to me) features. It's a verb-first ergative language, with some attempt at Lojban-like regularity (but without quite so much rigor). There's some attempt to derive everything from verbs (except nouns). Simplicity and regularity are big points.
Interest Of OthersNot that I know of, not much anyway.
