Language NameRhyllan
Language AuthorAndrew J. Meilstrup
Year Began2002
SiteRhyllan [PDF]
Broken LinkNo
Site LanguageEnglish
Language Typefictional language
UniquenessThis language is created to be the native language of the Rhyllan people in a story that I am writing. Since I do not have an English class, this language has the opportunity to be more unique. Some words are derived from French, and the language itself appears Celtic and Germanic.
Language SourcesIf the words have an etymology, they're derived from English or French. But mostly the language appears Germanic, Slavic or Celtic.
Interest Of OthersI have discussed the language with several people in a certain IRC channel, including Bruce Brejta (who is developing Bruceish).
