UniquenessOn the surface, it has the look of a blatant Euroclone. But wait! Only a few roots actually derive from European tongues; it is the structure that you recognize. It intends to make conjugation and declension regular. It is coming into the shape of the mother tongue of a people who consider religion and business very serious matters.
Language SourcesLatin, Greek, and Esperanto; some points of grammar were influenced by Quenya and Valavya; and someone knowledgeable of Japanese will recognize some roots.
Design PrinciplesIt is inflectional in nature, with affixation to roots producing words. As in Latin, the suffixes are grammar-related while the prefixes are primarily prepositions. There is no vowel infixing, except in the case of roots of similar meaning (e.g. hep "to breathe", hop "to blow"). The one case of consonant infixing is the formation of the conditional/subjunctive mood. Euphony and sounding good to me were factors, too.
Interest Of OthersMy mom thinks it sounds pretty. There's a geek friend of mine that thinks it looks coolA friend of mine thinks it looks cool. And I've been working with David Peterson via email on it.
