UniquenessDêbiua was inspired by the word construction system of Arabic, where roots are defined by consonant clusters, with vowels added according to a specific pattern to indicate fine meaning. Dêbiua uses a "dual" system, where roots are defined by vowel clusters and consonants are added for grammatical forms and fine meaning. Its sound system therefore contains an unusual high number of vowels.
Language SourcesArabic (word building system), Euroclone (grammatical concepts).
Design PrinciplesThe huge majority of roots are adjectival roots, defined by vowel clusters (mostly 3 or 4). There are a limited number of basic noun and verb roots, defined by consonant pairs. Most nouns and verbs are combinations of one of the base roots with an adjective. Concepts for cases, tenses, sentence structure are mainly borrowed from European languages, such as English, German, Latin and French.
