Language Name Dashul Language Author Anthony Raymond Bullard Year Began 1996 Site Dashul Broken Link Yes Site Language English Language Type logical language Uniqueness A new concept in logical languages, Dashul follows the epistemological theory that words are perceptual concretizations of concepts, and that concepts are based on the integration of perceptual data. It therefore recognizes entities, attributes, actions, etc. as what they are, and develops a syntactic grammar based on logical principles. Language Sources None really. Glosa and other syntactic languages did shed light on things once in a while. I wanted to save logical languages from the likes of "predicate grammars." Design Principles Entities (places, things, beings) are such, and are treated as independent entities in a clause. Attributes/Qualities are attributes or qualities of something and therefore necessitate a something (entity). Actions are actions taken by something, and therefore depend on something that acts (entities). Relationships are relationships between entities. All other words are concepts of method, which allow preciseness in reference. Interest Of Others None right now, but many will be because of its uniqueness and its philosophical standpoint -- one that rejects both subjectivism and intrinsicism.
