Language Name Chusole Language Author Glenn Kempf Year Began 2002 Site Chusole Broken Link Yes Site Language English Language Type fictional language Uniqueness Chusole is the language of the Empire of Kiarlon in the land of Korhano, a fictional setting that includes a number of other languages and cultures as well. It is not terribly unusual in terms of Earthly languages, but as it develops, it should reflect the culture and history of the Kiarloni people. A grammar, lexicon, and script are currently under construction. Language Sources Primary inspirations include Kazakh, Korean, Japanese, and Russian. Design Principles Chusole is a largely a priori language, but is intended, in part, to resemble an "Altaic-style" tongue in many of its features, with a largely agglutinating grammar, SOV syntax, and grammaticalized social deixis.
