Introduction | This is the Babel Text translated in Sbs, the language spoken on the planet Sbs (C7 G9 H45, 47th gamma quadrant). Sbs has evolved from Old Sbs, which was so hard to pronounce and to understand that even the native speakers sometimes didn't know what they were talking about. When Romans came to the planet with their spaceships, Sbs borrowed a lot of words from Latin and the grammar was simplified until it became the current language called "Modern Sbs". |

Translation 2 | [And] [at the time] [that] [(they) came] [from the east], [(it) was (thus)] [that] [they came] [at] [(a) strip of country] [in] [the land] [of Sinear] [and] [in] [that] [place] [(they) made] [(a) living]. |
Translation 3 | [And] [(they) said] [to one another]: [Come], [(we) will make] [brick stone], [which is] [well] [burnt]. [And] [(they) used] [(the) brick stones] [as] [building material] [and] [them] [(we) will bring together] [united] [with] [dirt] [sticky]. |
Translation 4 | [And] [(they) said]: [Come], [(we) will make] [(a) city], [and] [(a) tower] [that] [(he) will rise] [high] [as] [heaven], [and] [(we) will make] [our] [reputation], [so that] [(we) will not be] [wanderers] [on] [whole] [(the) world]. |

Translation 8 | [So] [God] [them] [(he) sent out] [to] [all] [(the) parts] [of the] [(the) planet] [and] [(they) stopped] [in] [building] [their] [city]. |
Translation 9 | [So] [(the) citty] [(it) was] [Babel] [called], [because] [God] [(he) took away] [(the) core] [of] [all] [languages], [and] [God] [them] [from there] [(he) sent away] [to] [all] [(the) parts] [of the] [(the) planet]. |
English Paraphrase 1 | And on the whole planet there was one language and one way of speaking. |
Paraphrase 2 | And at the time that they were wandering from the east, they came across a strip of country in the land of Sinear, and there they made themselves a living. |
Paraphrase 3 | And they said to one another: Come, let us make bricks, burning them well. And they had bricks for stone, putting them together with sticky earth. |
Paraphrase 4 | And they said: Come, let us build a town, and a tower who will rise as high as heaven, and let us make a name for ourselves, so that we will not be wanderers on the whole planet. |
Paraphrase 5 | And the Lord came down to see the city and the tower the people were building. |
Paraphrase 6 | And the Lord said: See, they are all one people and speak one language, and this is only a part of what they may do, and it will not be possible to keep them from any of their purposes. |
Paraphrase 7 | Come, let us go down and take the sense from their language away, so that they will not be able to make theirselves clear to one another. |
Paraphrase 8 | So the Lord God sent them away to every part of the planet and they stopped building their city. |
Paraphrase 9 | So the city was named Babel, because there the Lord took the sense of all languages away, and from there He sent away the people into every part of the earth. |
Notes 1 | It says "parine" (planet) and not "Terra" (Earth) here, because for the Sbsians Earth is not their planet, but just some planet in outer space. |
Notes 3 | By the way, the plural of the noun is equal to the singular in Sbs. |
