Kali-sise (Pitakesulina)
Lessons

Lessons   Advanced
Before beginning, please review the pronunciation system of Kali-sise.

The following lessons consist of three sections each:
The Root Words section introduces six root words for you to memorize.
Grammar introduces a key grammatical concept for you to learn and develop your own sentences demonstrating.
Compounds provide examples of words derived from all the roots covered up to and including this lesson.  You don't need to memorize these, but you should carefully review them and see if you can recognize the meaning from the roots.

Rough Draft -- still being written and double- and triple-checked.  Contact me if you would like to be notified when the lessons are complete and the language design is final.

Grammar

The final of the six case markers is the ablative, which is marked by na and acts as a "catch-all" case: it can often be translated into English as "in a ____ manner" or "-ly". Unfortunately, because of its semantic flexibility, it is the most difficult case to translate back into idiomatic English.

Nasini pi sisi se tata na.
vehicle NOM movement VB amphibian ABL
The vehicle moves in an amphibious manner.

Pukuse pi pukuse se sasale ke sepete na.
fire NOM fire VB tree ACC blossom ABL

Lele ke lene se pepe na.

The six case markers are derived from the Kali-sise word for alphabet, pitakesulina, which exhaustively illustrates all the sounds of the language. To review, pi is the nominative, ta the genitive, ke the accusative, su the dative, li the locative and na the ablative.

Le pi lene se kutu ta pe ke tata su sasale li pitakesulina na.
