Part-Of-Speech Endings
The part of speech of almost all Dublex words (except for a few particles not included in the 400 roots) is indicated by the final vowels, if any.

-    article, particle, common noun, pronoun
-a  adjective (noun modifier)
-e  adverb (verb modifier)
-i  verb
-o  postposition

-u  proper noun (word should be capitalized)
-ua  proper adjective (word should not uncapitalized)
-ui idiomatic multiword modifier

-ia  adjective modifier
-ie  adverb modifier
-ii  interjection
-io  clause modifier; conjunction
-iu  idiomatic multiword modifier

a, e, i, o, u -- vowel-only words are particles
VC(C) -- words in this pattern are articles

Here is the system prior to 5/15/02:

unmarked - noun
-a       - noun modifier (adjective)
-e       - verb modifier (adverb)
-i       - multiword compound
-o       - preposition
-u       - verb
-ie      - adjective modifier (adverb)
-io      - clause modifier
All Dublex roots are nouns.
