Uniqueness	Yivríndil is a historically rigorous a priori conlang, with a fair degree of completeness. It's sonorous and fluid, with a preference to open syllables and few consonant clusters. There are several related languages that have been designed, but are much less complete.

Design Principles	Historical plausibility, naturalness, and aesthetics (in that order). Note, however, that historicality only became a goal in the later stages of the language's evolution, so there are some things in the language (the earliest designed features) that must be bent rather forcefully to fit into the historical mold that was developed later.
