UniquenessX is a pictograph language. This isn't new. What may be new is the way I borrowed the concept of determinatives from Egyptian Hieroglyphs to create a fully functional derivational system.
Language SourcesTagalog, Middle Egyptian.
Design PrinciplesBasically, the idea is that there's only three types of words: Substantives, conjunctions and prepositions. Substantives can be verbs or nouns, depending on how they're used in the sentence (the first substantive will always be a verb, the rest nouns). The function of the focused NP will be marked on the verb (this would be an ideal trigger system), and every other NP's function will be determined by a preposition. As for the glyphs themselves, my main influence is Middle Egyptian, but since this is supposed to be a language that's used today, there are lots of non-Egyptian glyphs (e.g., a telephone, which most Egyptians didn't own back in the days of Ra and Thoth).
