UniquenessUbbi Dubbi is technically a "language game," mainly used by American children to communicate in code. It was featured on the long-running PBS children's show "Zoom," but possibly had an earlier version. A variant making use of the syllable "ub" uses the infix "eg" in its place, and this was once used as a code by British coal miners. It is a strictly verbal language, seeing as no practical, worthwhile, or standard system of spelling has emerged.
Language SourcesEnglish
