Syntax is inspired mostly by Turkish, Basque, Akan and Inuit; the scripts by Hebrew, Tibetan, Mongolian and Katakana; the phonology is all home-brew. Design Principles Cherry-picking interesting phenomena from natlangs, and always being kept different from Indo-European. A word-design technique is to pick a meaning, find the words for that meaning in several different languages and remove the sounds used in those words from the pool of possible sounds for that word. This leads to often running out of vowels, however.
