The morphology includes some prosodic-based affixes, a lot of prefixes, and carries a fair amount of functional load. Language Sources The present version of Skerre is largely inspired by languages native to North America (especially the Pacific Northwest) and Austronesia (especially Oceania). Previous versions of Skerre were influenced by Latin, French, Ancient Greek, Russian, Turkish, and Basque, among others, and maybe occasional influences from these languages can still be felt.
