Language NameRomana
Language AuthorDan Tohatan
Year Began2003
SiteRomana
Broken LinkNo
Site AuthorDan Tohatan
Language Typeinternational auxiliary language
UniquenessThis language is a model of how the Latin language would have evolved if it had continued to be spoken until today, without any outside influences. The grammar and vocabulary is strictly Latin, based greatly on medieval Latin grammar and vocabulary, as well as vulgar Latin.
Language SourcesIt was inspired by Latin, Italian, French and Romanian.
Design PrinciplesThe design is to make a language that's easy to pronounce and easy to write (using quasi-phonetic spelling that still preserves etymology) that can be understood by all speakers of Romance languages as well as Latin speakers.
Interest Of OthersSo far, I am the only one involved in this project, because it has just come out.
