Language Typefictional language
EditorialLakal and Saradic are possibly more dialects than separate languages. They share a flexional grammar and have similar vocabulary. PJS has put together one of the better Role-Playing Game settings in his Sarandur Campaign for RuneQuest. While he's been running it for ten years, PJS became serious about the language settings five years ago. A zipped LangMaker/Win LEX file generates Saradic, Lakal, Kirjathan or Vanarite names and derives words from old Lakari.
UniquenessNothing, really, I'm sorry to say. These two closely related languages (perhaps more dialects than separate languages) are deliberately intended not to be too "weird" from the point of view of a speaker of a European language.
Language SourcesNone.
Design PrinciplesBoth were intended to be flexional.
