Uniqueness	Jovian is a fresh new romlang (constructed Romance language) concept starting from the venerable and plentiful resources of the High Latin language and taking it where no romlang has gone before. Its phonology is quite unusual for a romlang, and includes a few well-behaved mutation patterns.

Design Principles	Latin words with antepenultimate stress lose the middle syllable, transferring the quality of the lost vowel into the stressed syllable as a diphthong. Intervocalic clusters are softened and simplified.
Interest Of Others	Jovian has found a home in the alternate reality project Ill Bethisad. It's spoken in Jervaine, a fictional country comprising the territories of Alsace, Moselle and some of the Black Forest.
