Review	A trilogy tracing the story of the last of a mercenary species called the Mri. Paid to fight mankind, they have been nearly wiped out during a conflict between a Human society and the empire of the Regul (the Mri's paymasters). Now they must prepare for the Shon'jir, the Dark. Unexpectedly, they are aided by the Humans. But the Humans have their own agenda, and the Regul are along for the ride, and they have some unfinished business of their own. And ahead of them all, Kutath, the Faded Sun, and the ancient truth about the Mri. Samples of Mri language (actually their "sacred" language, though there may be elements of a Parakrit too) given at various points with glosses. I think it's possible to extract 200-300 words from the examples.
