Language Typefictional diachronic language
UniquenessLarua combines the analytic grammar of Mandarin Chinese with a strict VSO constituent order (constructed as a mirror image of Japanese and Ainu SOV order) and a phonology more typical of European languages.
Language SourcesThe sound structure and vocabulary were first inspired by Proto-Germanic, but that influence is now rather obscure, and many of the more recent words are modeled on Ancient Egyptian originals. Mandarin Chinese, Japanese and Ainu inspire the syntax.
